A message to our members

We are not stepping forward
to learn the role

SICCI stands today not at a reset point but at an acceleration point. Over the years, the Chamber has strengthened its institutional standing, expanded SME support, deepened government engagement, and widened its international reach.

Our commitment is simple

To move SICCI forward with experience, continuity, and meaningful execution. We are stepping forward as a team united by service, entrepreneurship and institutional experience — not individuals seeking a platform for the first time.

We are stepping forward
prepared to lead

Why experience matters

SICCI is a 102-year institution representing businesses, livelihoods and relationships built over generations. Leadership at this level requires more than ambition — it requires business experience, institutional understanding, credibility and the ability to deliver from Day One.

Together, the slate has:

  • Built and managed businesses across generations
  • Created employment opportunities at scale
  • Operated through economic cycles and uncertainty
  • Served SICCI, SME Centre@SICCI, LISHA and the wider community
  • Worked with government agencies, institutions and international partners

Our Five Strategic Priorities

  • Expand regional trade and business networks
  • Organise targeted and outcome-driven business delegations
  • Build stronger diaspora business connections
  • Support internationalisation opportunities for SMEs
  • Expand SICCI's engagement with global business networks, trade offices and chambers across key international markets beyond India
03

Stronger Government & Institutional Engagement

  • Deepen engagement with Enterprise Singapore, EDB, MTI, ESG and relevant agencies
  • Strengthen dialogue platforms with ministries and policymakers
  • Expand partnerships with all trade associations and other ethnic chambers
  • Ensure SME concerns and business realities remain represented
  • Strengthen SICCI's institutional standing within Singapore's wider business ecosystem
04

Governance, Transparency & Continuity

  • Responsible and member-focused governance
  • Financial transparency and accountability
  • Avoid conflict-of-interest practices
  • Continuity of institutional knowledge and leadership
  • Open and transparent engagement with members
  • Long-term planning focused on sustainable growth and organisational stability
05

One SICCI, One Business Community
